Book Review: Driven

“I’ll purposely do something to hurt you to prove that I can. To prove that you won’t stick around regardless of the consequences. To prove that I can control the situation. To control that I don’t get hurt.”
Rylee Thomas has baggage, but so does Colton Donovan. Rylee is devoted to her work, helping out troubled orphan kids. Colton is a famous race car driver and business man. When Rylee and Colton meet at a charity event there is an instant spark of chemistry between them. Rylee has only been in one relationship ever, and Colton likes to "fuck 'em and chuck 'em." The chemistry is too strong for either of them to stay away but Rylee can't give Colton what he wants and Colton can't give Rylee what she needs.

I loved this book, but it definitely isn't for everyone. There are a good amount of hot scenes (yay!) and back and forth between the characters. Driven is one of the books were you just want the characters to be in a relationship already, and I like that.

The characters were great as well. I was sort of expecting Rylee to be an annoying Ana Steele type but she wasn't. While the book has it's similarities to Fifty Shades of Grey, the characters aren't as frustrating. Colton is flirty and funny which is such a contrast to his dark side. He is very good at shutting off his dark side except his feelings for Rylee have them coming out a bit.

With eveyone reading the third book in this series, I really wanted to catch up and read the first book. I look forward to reading the second and third books because I have only heard good things about it.

I recommend this book to those who like Fifty Shades of Grey, erotic romance, and contemporary romance.
