Read: July 2013

“I think we’re both actually pretty screwed up, but together we just work and we make each other better.”

Jet is the sequel to Rule but this time it tells Ayden and Jet’s story. Ayden and Jet are friends and roommates but they have an undeniable attraction towards one another. It has been a year since metal head Jet turned down southern sweetheart Ayden for a night of fun and with Ayden troubled past she thinks it was for the best. Unable to stay away from each other, they finally hook-up but with no strings attached. Now Ayden is struggling to deal with her old self and new self around Jet. And Jet is trying to deal with his deadbeat dad and mother who won’t leave him, when all he wants is forever with Ayden.

This second novel in the Marked Men series is seriously just as hot as the first. I completely fell in love with Jet as I had with Rule (There is just something about hot men with ink!). Plus Jet is the hot and sexy rock star with goals… A+. I did really like Ayden for the most part but I struggled to see her point of view at first when she broke up with Jet. Though when she is talk to Jet before he leaves she thinks “But then he would just want to fix it and there was no fixing Asa, and no going back in time and fixing the girl I used to be.” She was afraid of being the person she was with Jet and didn’t think there was anyway to fix that even if she did love him.

I loved loved loved this book! I would so recommend this book to you if you like new adult books with some smut, but I would read Rule first even though you can read this book as a stand alone. I cannot wait for the next book Rome which will be about Rome, Rule’s older bother, after he comes home for good after being in Afghanistan and Cora, the pixie that works at the Marked tattoo shop, is looking for the perfect guy, after a heartbreak. YAY!

I recommend if you like erotica, men with tats, guys in a band, and roommate falling in love READ!
