“His arms are big, his shoulders well developed. And his abs. Omigod, his abs are a work of art. Forget six-pack. This guy has a eight-working-on-ten-pack, and for a second - just a second - my eyes nearly cross as I imagine what it would be like to lick a path straight from his collarbone to his navel.”

Z is a hot professional snowboarder and has a reputation for his one-night stands and partying. Z has so much potential to be an even better snowboarder then he his, but the traumatic death of his sister and mother is always in Z’s head. Ophelia is just as traumatized after a car accident that killed her boyfriend. When Z meets Ophelia she is just another girl to Z until she pours ice coffee all over him. Both Z and Ophelia feel the attraction towards one another but they to stay away from each other knowing no good can come from it. As Z and Ophelia give into each other they realize they have to deal with their past and rely on each other.

This book was really good! Like a lot of new adult romance books this novel is based on the characters with a smaller plot inside. So it makes it important that you like the character other wise you get bored. Say that I did like the characters. Z was hot but he was also self-destructive. This would have bothered me a bit, but I think that because he was so troubled made him perfect for Ophelia.

Ophelia was actually different than I expected her to be. When you think southern belle you think innocent and naive, and she wasn’t like that at all. I was nice to see a change in the stereotypical heroine character.

The alternating POVs are always a thing that I can’t help but love. You get a look inside both Z and Ophelia’s mind and understand them a bit better that it would if it was just one point of view.
It’s a light read and I would recommend this book if you want character based book.
