Bastian is an alcoholic and troubled ship Captain. He spends his days
chain smoking and manning the small pleasure cruise ship and nights
getting drunk and paying for sex. An underwater earthquake sinks his
ship and Bastian ends up on a small life raft with one of his passengers
Raine. Bastian is usually a closed book but something about Raine made
him open up to her.
I am always a sucker for a male POV romance and this sure didn’t disappoint. This book reminds me of On The Islands fused with The Dark Duet Series (in a good way!). I found my self falling in love with Bastian even though he was a complete asshole.
I also enjoyed the how impossibly hot this book was. WARNING: Bastian talks about his cock every five seconds.
The book ends in a cliffhanger which means a second book! YAY! I am
really happy about this because I would actually like to get to know
Raine a little bit more, even though I hope the next book will still be
in Bastian’s POV.
This book was romance, suspenseful, erotic, and dark all at the same time. And again if you liked On The Islands and The Dark Duet Series I would recommend this book to you!
